About Bad Azz Music Syndicate
Bad Azz Music Syndicate is an independent record label founded by rapper Boosie Badazz (Torrence Hatch Jr.) and his brother and manager Taquari "TQ" Hatch. Headquartered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the syndicate represents a new chapter in Southern hip hop — one built on artistic independence, authentic storytelling, and direct connection between artists and their fans.
While Boosie was incarcerated between 2010 and 2014, TQ reorganized the family's music business under a new banner. The original Bad Azz Entertainment had been diluted by unauthorized associates and copycat operations. Rebranding as Bad Azz Music Syndicate allowed the company to function as a proper music enterprise capable of signing diverse talent — from regional Southern artists to international acts.
Our Story
The syndicate traces its roots to the late 1990s, when a teenage Boosie joined Concentration Camp — a Baton Rouge rap collective that included future legends like Young Bleed and C-Loc. From those early sessions on West Garfield Street, Boosie's career grew into one of the most remarkable stories in Southern rap.
After years building with Trill Entertainment under the late Pimp C, Boosie launched his own imprint. The label has since evolved into a multi-faceted entertainment company spanning music, video, merchandise, and digital media — including Boosie Network, a streaming platform that gives fans unprecedented access to Boosie's catalog, exclusive content, and live performances.
Mission
Bad Azz Music Syndicate exists to preserve and expand the legacy of authentic Southern hip hop. We are committed to:
- Giving artists full creative control over their music and image
- Building direct fan relationships through technology and live experiences
- Maintaining the raw, honest storytelling tradition of Baton Rouge rap
- Creating sustainable careers for artists beyond a single hit record
- Investing in the next generation of Southern talent
